Local bands to rock Founders’ Day weekend events

Mark your calendars for a fun Founders’ Day weekend, featuring live music from local bands.

On Friday, July 10 come to State Street at 7 p.m. to hear the opening band for the street dance, The Mod Rockers. This band features classic rock and includes members Brandon Wind (lead vocals/guitar), Kurt Kissinger (drums/vocals), and Matt Stein (bass/vocals). 

At 8:30 p.m. Keifer and Scott, featuring the talents of Keifer Brandt and Scott Larsen, will take the stage to play their own mix of Midwest favorites. 

On Saturday, July 11 the Nedd Freeley Funn Band featuring Jack Diamond (lead guitar), Eldon Landolt (rhythm guitar), Scott Dahl (drums/vocals), Donnie Wagner (harmonica), and Steve Curry (bass) will play for the creative vendors and shoppers at Art in the Park on the Carnegie Lawn from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. sponsored by the Stinson Prairie Arts Council.
