The City of Algona (pop. 5,487), located in north-central Iowa, and the county seat of Kossuth County is seeking applicants for the position of Seasonal Snow Removal Equipment Operator for the City’s Street Department.
Description
This position is responsible for operating heavy snow removal equipment, including snowplows and dump trucks and is subject to Iowa DOT drug testing requirements. This position is scheduled on an as needed basis and hours will vary depending on weather forecasts and conditions as they occur.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be reliable, willing to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning hours, have a valid Iowa Class B CDL with air brake endorsement and be at least 18 years of age (for insurance purposes).
