General Job Summary:
The instructor is responsible for teaching a full-time assignment of classes on the Estherville Campus as defined by the College. This may include teaching high school students enrolled in college courses. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with College and division policies and procedures. Required to operate equipment common to the HVAC trade and industry. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance. May be required to drive personal vehicle between lab sites.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years (6,000 hours) of recent, relevant experience in the field of instruction to be taught, or 3,000 hours of recent, relevant experience and possess an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in the field of instruction. Prior experience in an educational setting is beneficial. Iowa licensure as an HVAC Service Technician or ability to obtain certification upon hiring.
Salary: Commensurate with education and related experience for a 213-day contract.
