General Job Summary:
This is a full-time faculty position located on the Estherville Campus. The instructor is responsible for teaching a full-time assignment of Criminal Justice classes as defined by the College. Course teaching assignments may include various delivery formats and locations. Must evaluate and report student performance and progress in assigned courses in accordance with college and division policies and procedures. May be required to travel between campuses utilizing personal vehicle. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record, and provide proof of insurance.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Iowa Lakes Community College participates in the federal E-Verify program. We will verify your employment eligibility in the United States as required by law.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 6,000 hours of recent and relevant work experience in law enforcement and/or corrections. An Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Law, Social Science or other related area preferred. Prior teaching experience at the college level is desired.
Salary: Commensurate with education and related experience for a 213-day contract.
